"Blue Malibu" is my latest creation. It is part of the Blue{s} collection that was put together September 2013. The picture was taken by my mother-in-law. The color was not blue enough in the original but the quilt looks more like a sunny blue day.

This year has been a very strange year for me. My husband died in February, I moved from Van Nuys to Camarillo CA and got hospitalized with pneumonia in July. I am still working on my art quilts. My master bedroom is my new studio and is still a work in process but is should be a great place to work. I have been expanding into other arts but love quilting the best. I got two quilts into "West Coast Wonders" collection for 2013. It premiered at the International Quilt Show Long Beach. My "Hollywood and Highland quilt was the first quilt to see as people entered the convention center and was featured in the show brochure. I felt so honored. During the month of October 2013 I had 4 quilts in major shows. 2 were in Pacific International, The Red Shoes and California Poppies. 2 were in Houston, Hollywood and Highland and Storm Over the Golden Gate. I also participated in Art Immersion at the Channel Island Art Center in Camarillo. I took two classes for four days, Weaving and Painting with Encaustic. More to follow with pictures of my quilts for the last year.
